How-To Technology for Seniors — Masters Creative Project
For my Masters Creative Project, I created a digital literacy learning platform designed for seniors (60+ years old). I used a codesign method to best understand user needs specific to this age group. This website includes features suggested by seniors themselves, such as an AI chatbot to answer questions in real time, the option to choose how they learn for each topic, and the ability to practice lesson materials.

The navigation menu options look more similar to buttons rather than links to better convey their clickable nature. I updated some components like the AI chatbot and lesson page layout to provide the user with options without forcing them into certain engagements they may not prefer. I also changed the capabilities of the AI chatbot to include guiding site navigation, providing additional resources, and answering user questions. |

The lesson library was liked by participants who felt relevant topics were included in the lesson options. A common critique on this page, however, was regarding the images on the lesson cards. All five participants liked the image for the “How to Spot a Scam” lesson but had trouble seeing and understanding the image for the "Introduction to AI" lesson. |
